Knowledge Sharing Trust participated in “Women of India Exhibition” under Ministry of Women and Child Development under initiatives of women in agriculture. In this exhibition we were given the opportunities to sell the organic products like methi, stevia, amla, till, Alsi….dries by solar dryers and only grown by women/women enterperuner.
In this exhibition ‘’Women and Organic Products’ as a theme – is to support and encourage women and women-led groups that promote organic farming and spread awareness about the benefits of organic products with the motto of “eat healthy, live healthy”. Women from Leh to Kanyakumari and from Kohima to Kutch have been represented at the event that has given women farmers a platform to display and sell their products directly to the people. We appreciate the WCD ministry’s initiative. Another unique feature of the exhibition is ‘forgotten foods’ such as jhangoora, millet, kuttu, bajra and amaranth, which were earlier regarded as healthy foods eaten by all but have lost their popularity over time. We are also providing these products.
